With offices situated just outside of Cardiff, we are able to provide a local service to our clients situated in and around the city. This location also enables us to have a prescence in Rhondda Cynon Taff, Bridgend and the surrounding areas.
We are also happy to work remotely to assist businesses further afield.
About Luke Stevens, ACCA - Principal
Squared Up was formed by Luke Stevens in 2017.
Luke was born in Bridgend and attended Ogmore Comprehensive School where he completed his GCSEs. He later went on to complete the examinations for the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) at Bridgend College alongside his A levels.
Following this, Luke worked at Clay Shaw Thomas in Bridgend as a Trainee Accounts Consultant, preparing accounts and corporation tax returns for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
In 2012, Luke accepted a training contract with Broomfield & Alexander (now Baldwins) where he qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant and achieved his practicing certificate. During his employment as a Senior Accountant in the Audit & Business Services Department, Luke was responsible for a number of clients and the preparation of year end and management accounts.
Luke was also tasked with assisting clients with their accounting software needs and gain experience in a range of software products including Sage, Quickbooks and Xero. He also looked after a team for a number of years and was responsible for a portfolio of audit clients looking after assignments from the planning stage right through to completion and reporting directly to partner on a number of clients.
Luke won an employee excellence award as a recognition of the quality work that he produced and first class service that he provided to clients.
Luke thoroughly enjoyed his experience as an employee in practice and has strived to take the best bits gained from his experience at each practice and make them even better. Great service without the old-school paper pushing or hourly billing.
He is a Xero certified advisor and enjoys using this and other cutting edge software to provide clients with an efficient, pro-active service.
